Here you can read and get answers to the questions most of our guests have before arrival, during their stay, or after their visit.
- The rooms are guaranteed from 3:00 PM, but we try to check in as early as possible. You can therefore ask upon arrival if the room is ready or if we have any rooms available. If you have booked a specific room or have special requests, the room cannot be guaranteed before 3:00 PM. We want you to have a sparkling clean and nice room and therefore need to spend some time cleaning. Checkout is by 10:00 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on weekends.
- All our guests can purchase access to the Spa. If you stay in a spa package, you have entrance included, and if you book a treatment, you get free entrance. For overnight guests, the entrance fee is NOK 195 per person. As an overnight guest, you have free access to training and fitness.
- Sundvolden Hotel is located in Hole Municipality in Buskerud. About 25 minutes from Sandvika, 50 minutes from Oslo, and just over 1 hour from Gardermoen. There is a scheduled bus to Oslo every hour, which also connects with the airport express train at Lysaker for easy transport to Gardermoen. There are good public transportation options. We encourage all our guests to carpool to help save the environment.
- Yes, it is possible to charge an electric car with us. We have a total of 6 chargers located in our parking garage. It is not possible to reserve charging in advance; it is only available via drop-in. There are 3 Tesla chargers and 3 regular chargers. The price is NOK 250 per day, and payment is made at the reception upon arrival.
- Of course, you can change your stay. If you have booked through a third party or online, we ask you to log in and make the change directly in the online booking or with the party you booked with. If the stay was booked directly with us, we can change your booking by phone. We are not able to change bookings made by others than directly with us. Please note that specific deadlines and conditions apply for cancellations and changes; please see your confirmation for details. For stays booked directly with us, a deadline of 24 hours applies for cancellations and changes for single bookings. For groups, specific deadlines are indicated in our confirmation.
- Regular opening hours: Breakfast is served on weekdays from 7 AM to 9 AM, on Saturdays from 7 AM to 10 AM, and on Sundays from 8 AM to 11 AM. The Tavern is open on weekdays and Saturdays from 12 PM to 10 PM, and on Sundays from 12 PM to 8 PM. Summer hours in the restaurant from June 17 to August 18, 2024: Breakfast is served on weekdays from 7 AM to 10 AM, on Saturdays from 7 AM to 11 AM, and on Sundays from 8 AM to 11 AM. The Sundvolden Tavern is open every day from 1 PM to 9 PM. Feel free to reserve a table via the link on this page! We are actively working to reduce food waste. We encourage you as a guest to finish your food; if you eat from the buffet - eat as much as you like, and please help yourself multiple times if you wish.
- Wireless Internet Wireless internet is free for all our guests - the password is "sundvolden" and the network is called sundvolden guest.
- There is plenty to do in the areas around the hotel. We have many good partners who can arrange for great and insightful experiences. Read more about what you can do in our local area here.
- Check-out on weekdays is by 10:00 AM, on Saturdays by 11:00 AM, and on Sundays by 12:00 PM. If you wish to keep the room a little longer during the day, please speak with the reception. Late check-out? NOK 100 per started hour. Contact the reception to check availability.
