Ludvig Eikaas (born December 20, 1920, in the village of Eikaas in Jølster in Sunnfjord, died September 5, 2010) was a Norwegian painter, graphic artist, and art professor. The name can also be spelled Ludvik Eikaas. He is considered a very central artist in the latter half of the 20th century due to his work with painting, sculptures, and especially graphics. He was educated at SHKS 1942-46; the Art Academy 1946-48; and the Art Academy in Copenhagen in 1948. He became a professor at the Art Academy in Oslo in 1970. Eikaas was a Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav. He was married to the textile artist Synnøve Anker Aurdal (1908–2000). He is the father of Stig Eikaas, an adult educator, visual artist, and author. The Eikaas Gallery in Jølster was established based on an art donation from him to Jølster municipality.
