The bay at Sundvolden

Sundvolden Hotel owns a number of works by Håvard Vikhagen.

To the right of the entrance area hangs a collection of works that were commissioned and completed by Vikhagen in 2001 when the building was finished.

Håvard Vikhagen has visited several times, and if you go on an exploration, you will discover Vikhagen both in the Spa, common areas, and not least in our dining area. Here, Håvard Vikhagen has a room named after him. The room is decorated with the collection "Out Stealing Horses," which Vikhagen illustrated for the book by Persson. The collection ended up in our possession somewhat by chance, as Vikhagen did not want to separate the paintings but preferred them to hang and tell a story together.

Furthermore, a number of works by Vikhagen are also displayed in the hotel's other dining room.

Experience the unique art of Håvard Vikhagen at Sundvolden Hotel, where his works become part of the enchanting atmosphere. With a blend of abstract shapes and vibrant colors, Vikhagen creates a visual landscape that captures the moment and challenges the viewer's perception. His artistic exploration of light and movement invites deeper reflection and engagement. Through his works, guests can discover new dimensions of beauty and insight, and be inspired by the boundless creativity found at Sundvolden Hotel.
