Limits on water consumption and measures to use less water. Ensure sustainable water management, access to water and good sanitation for all.

Requirements for energy efficiency, and rewards for using less energy. Rewards renewable energy sources for heating water and premises

Ensure equal opportunities and reduce differences in living conditions

Inequality is negative for sustainable economic growth. So if less inequality contributes to a better economy for society and companies, investing in diversity will be profitable.

Promote the use of environmentally friendly goods transport. Requirements for efficient waste sorting, which ensures material recycling and utilization of resources.

The Nordic Ecolabel is a guarantee that we as a company actively work to reduce the burden on the environment and climate. We have lower resource consumption in operations and we ensure sustainable production and control back in the supply chain.

Requirements for energy efficiency and rewards for using less energy. Reduced use of disposable items.

Sustainably certified fish is served, and endagered fish is prohibited. A high proportion of the chemicals for general cleaning, dishwashing and textile washing are eco-labelled.

We have set ourselves the following goals for the environmental work at the hotel:

- The hotel industry's best working environment (Winner fo the Norwegian working environment Award 2008)

- Sundvolden Hotel must be Co2 neutral by 2015, we achieved this, and we have our own pellet central as the main heating source for the hotel.

- We are proud of our Swan certification, which we have had since 2011

- Reduce the use of water and energy by means of good management and control

- Sort waste (80% sorting rate) as reduce the total amount of waste, especially plastic and food waste

- Contribute financially and in other ways to good projects in relation to children and young people.
